Ways to Celebrate Canada Day in 2022

As we prepare to celebrate the birthday of our wonderful country, we have compiled a list of activities in Toronto and the GTA that you might want to check out.

In Toronto, a number of Canada Day events have fireworks, including those at Ashbridges Bay, the Oh Canada event at Harbourfront Centre and the Toronto Ribfest in Etobicoke at Centennial Park will have a fireworks display. There’s also Mel Lastman Square, Amesbury Park and Downsview Park in North York as well as Stan Wadlow Park in East York.

In Peel Region, fireworks displays include the Paint the Town Red event at Port Credit Memorial Park in Mississauga, the Canada Day event featuring the Strumbellas at Mississauga’s Celebration Square, the Streetsville celebrations at Streetsville Village Square, Westwood Square in Malton, Brampton’s celebrations at Chinguacousy Park, and Albion Hills Conservation Area in Caledon.

In Halton Region, fireworks are on in Oakville at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Prospect Park in Acton and the Milton Fairgrounds.
