Hello and Happy New Year!
We hope you had a great Holiday Season and took the time to get together with your favourite people. We certainly did and enjoyed some excellent food and too many chocolates, but hey, it’s Christmas!
Like many families, we have our traditions, which include re-watching some of our all-time favourite Christmas movies, including Love Actually, The Holiday and our Christmas Eve special, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. We traditionally have dinner and a movie at Nick’s on Christmas Eve, which is also my Dad’s birthday. Nick is an excellent cook, and my Dad looks forward to the Pea Soup with homemade sourdough croutons all year, along with whatever else Nick has prepared. Christmas day is always at our place with my parents. It’s amazing to think we used to get up so early to get the turkey in the oven but with our current convection stove, it is literally done in 4-5 hours. Yes, we do all the traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrot and parsnip and lots of gravy. My mom does the best Scottish Trifle, following my Gran’s recipe. We’d love to hear some of your favourite traditions.
It was great to be able to chat with so many of you during our Christmas pop-by. We cover a lot of miles over those few days, but we love the opportunity to catch up and remind you that we’re always here as your Real Estate resource and greatly appreciate your loyalty and referrals.
As always, Real Estate has been a hot topic in the Media, and I have written a short article to try to put it all into perspective so you don’t get too caught up in all the forecasts and predictions that we are currently being bombarded with.
