Happy Summer;) Let’s hope it’s a long, hot one! We’re certainly hoping to make good use of the pool and patio this year and enjoy some of the great restaurant patios. We’ve recently tried a few local places, including Verace, Pro Vida, Colossus, and Beacon. Many of you will recall our Client Appreciation Parties hosted at Corks Restaurant in Oakville, which is now Beacon. It has changed ownership and undergone significant renovations inside. We just had Brunch there for Father’s Day and enjoyed the food, service and vibe. We encourage you to check it out anytime you are downtown Oakville.
We would like to congratulate everyone who is celebrating their Graduation; from Pre-school to University. It’s a milestone that deserves recognition and we wish you all the very best!
It’s not unusual for Real Estate to be the central topic of Canadian News and Media, but the recent market volatility has made it increasingly the topic of conversation. Our prices peaked in late February into early March, and we have seen an adjustment. It is unsurprising that the record year-over-year percentage increases were not sustainable and began to moderate as more inventory entered the market, with rising inflation and interest rates. This market is a time of opportunity for those Buyers who do not want to get into the frenzy of multiple bids; for current homeowners to consider a move as, while their own home may not attract as high a sale price, nor will the home they buy. Pricing and presentation are especially vital in the current market, and we are happy to be your trusted advisors.
What would an update be without Patricia having a project!!! The latest is removing popcorn ceilings, installing pot lights and crown moulding, and a new paint job. Bruce is not looking forward to this and would much rather be cruising. Fortunately, we have come to know some excellent Contractors over the years who we know and trust will do a great job. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re planning some renovations or updates and need referrals to great Tradespeople. Also, please send us photos of your “new and improved” projects. We love seeing what you’ve been up to; it lets Bruce know he’s not alone in the chaos.
