Embracing Technological Change in Real Estate

Thank you for your continued loyalty and referrals during this unprecedented time. As you know, Real Estate was ruled an essential service last year. Therefore, we have been able to continue serving our clients during the pandemic. However, the government imposed a suite of restrictions on our business practices, including a prohibition on open houses, both Agent and public. Initially, this presented a challenge, as open houses are an essential part of the services we render. They provide an excellent opportunity to maximize the listing’s exposure to the public. However, we decided to use this as an opportunity to expand our online marketing package. It is believed that between 50-60% of buyers find their homes online. With that in mind, we have collaborated with our marketing department to develop an online brochure. This provides all of the information you would find in the print copy. We have also incorporated guided walkthrough tours for all of our listings. This provides buyer’s with a more informed perspective of the home before seeing it in person. We have also continued to leverage all of the digital platforms at our disposal. We utilize social media and boost our posts in order to reach more consumers. RE/MAX Escarpment also provides their agents with access to globally recognized Real Estate websites.

We are grateful for having been ruled an essential service. However, there are guard-rails within which we must operate to help reduce the spread of covid-19. If this pandemic has taught us anything, it is the need to stay ahead of the curve and embrace the technological evolution of our industry. We will continue to leverage every platform at our disposal in order to maintain the same standard of excellent service.
