The Windy City 2016

The Windy City 2016

After visiting the Willis Tower’s observation deck, it is now overwhelmingly clear to me why Chicago is nominally referred to as the “Windy City”. 1,353 feet up at the top of the Willis Tower, the boys and I marveled at some of the magnificent views of Chicago, while feeling the building gently sway under our feet, or so Jonathon adamantly maintains.

While we were in Chicago, we also enjoyed a Chicago Architectural River Cruise, learning historical information about the myriad of buildings from the Chicago skyline. To recharge the batteries, Jonathon, Nicholas and I visited three different restaurants for dinner that we would enthusiastically recommend; The Publican, The Girl and the Goat, and Eataly, who provide unorthodox food combinations that tasted incredible.

From our recent experience, we would definitely recommend Chicago as a great getaway for a few days.
